FAQs
What are some example uses of Ask Astro?
A recent example, one professional services company CEO connected his main apps up (Hubspot, Harvest and Xero) and has loaded in his employees skills matrix. Now he has this set of metrics he can use via Ask Astro such as financial data, resourcing and sales / customer data. He can now monitor for changes of areas of concern when things don’t line up. He can also project easily into the future based on real data from these disparate systems.
He has run a research topic about his considerations for setting up an office in AU, and it gave him some good insights and new considerations.
Next he loaded many many tech lead reports that they have generated over the last 10 years, and is cross referencing these notes with skills in the business to look for opportunities to provide even better service to his customers. He also will be looking at how to generate his board reports, as it is currently painful dealing with Power BI. We hope to replace Power BI completely for him.
Another customer manages an ecommerce business, and found it difficult to bring together all of his business critical data into one place, so he could make effective business decisions. He was spending 5-7 hours each week consolidating the data from Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads and his production data, as well as Xero financial data. No he can access and query all of these data sources under one umbrella, and in context of each other. He can now confidently make decisions like when to scale production, what products to test in new markets, and how to grow while maximising cashflow.
How do is what you’re doing different than ChatGPT?
LLMs are not knowledge models. Simply asking ChatGPT to analyse any old document gives results that are at best milquetoast, and at worst confident and completely baseless.
To build Astronort, we are codifying the C-suite experience, strategic decision making, and knowledge of our cofounders (as long time COO and CP&CO’s) into the system that surrounds the core AI technologies, to draw the most valuable insights out of the source material. We also have done masses of work to bring in other data sources, our own models (for things like financial data) and straight up non-LLM related good stuff. Although LLM’s support what we do, it takes a lot more than that to bring real insights and real-time value to a business.
Our CTO has experience as CTO, CEO, and advisor in technology companies, giving him a deep understanding of how technology & business decision-making intersect. Astronort is not about providing general answers - we give specific, insightful and actionable insights as if you has hired us as specialist consultants into your business, but realtime, 24/7 and a lot cheaper!
Do you share our company data?
Have a look at our policies on how we use the data here. We use Anthropic and OpenAI’s LLMs for processing information you provide to us. This usage is covered by their terms. Their terms clearly state that they own neither the input material nor the output it generates.
How much input do humans have in producing the reports?
Other than the initial prompting and ingesting of data, the outputs are 100% generated by AI. As we continue to build out the context of the businesses, the outputs improve as well.
Is it complicated to get started?
There are no big tech integrations or complex things to do to get started. It’s as simple as signing an NDA and sharing your data securely. We ingest your data and it’s ready to go for in our application. You can log in and your data is there for you to chat with, review, cut different ways using different frameworks, and output to a long form report (or a subset) when you need it.
